Pouzilhac, dazzled by light and nestled in the garrigues, is
a typical village of Languedoc. It has been inhabited since
antiquity and is situated on the former Roman road that connected
Nîmes and Alba. It possesses a fortified castle that partly dates
from the 14th century; an ancient tower and gate that were part of the
ramparts; old houses, some of them restored by lovers of the past; some
excellent restaurants; potters; and a renowned wine.
