The superb village of Montclus, located at a bend in the Cèze River,
is a listed site. Beautiful country homes and narrow alleyways give this
village an extraordinary character. It is the setting for the Medieval Festival.
|

All shops, as well as a large number of rental accommodations, hotel-restaurants,

| heritage |
The only remains of the past are the ruins of a former Benedictine
grotto monastery and the square tower of the castle. |
| history |
The medieval village already existed before the 13th century.
In 1263, the abbey of Mons Serratus was founded.
In 1275, the castle was built, but only its square keep remains.
Later, the Pont du Moulin bridge was built over the Cèze. |
