The
village of Chusclan is located on the northeastern part of the Gard, in
the canton of Bagnols sur Cèze, on the left bank of the Cèze
River, which borders the southern part of the village. It is surrounded
by hills and vineyards that produce A.O.C Côtes du Rhône Village
wines. The nuclear plant of Marcoule is located to the east.
Because of its position near the Rhône, the district enjoys a typically
Mediterranean climate, with moderate winters and hot, dry summers; it is also
influenced by the northern wind known as the mistral. It is easily accessible
from Avignon (TGV), and from Orange (A7 et A9), as well as from the RN 86 and
580 highways.
